Check In: 8:30-9:00am
9:05am: First hour of the class will look a the proper biomechanics of the knee and discussing the q-angle and its importance. We will look at soft tissue connections, origins and insertions of muscle that surround the knee, ligature, and meniscus orientation. We will look at the primary function of the knee and corresponding synergistic and antagonistic muscles groups.
10:00am: We will look at the most common knee conditions, symptomatology, and proper diagnosing through orthopedic testing and associated movements. We will discuss the biomechanics involvement of the knees and its corresponding symptomatology. We will discuss the effects of pre and post arthoplasty as wells the preventive and stabilization techniques.
11:00am: Pre-Arthroplasty. We will look at the 3 step healing process that allows for preventive care or surgical delay. We will study of the affects of treatment outcomes, plans and protocols to provide the best possible case fore delaying surgical fixation.
12:00pm: Post Arthroplasty: Post surgical treatment varies pending on survey type as well as surgeon. We will show specific patterns of treatment and rehabilitation to promote the best healing opportunity following a knee Arthroplasty.

9:00 am Proper examination and note taking. Knowing when to order x-rays versus MRI’s. Knowing when to refer out and when to treat. Performing proper orthopedics testing, and proper techniques for knee adjusting. LAD (Long Axis Distraction) traction, Adjustment of Fibular head, and proper Ankle Adjustments.
10:00am-1:00pm: Soft Tissue Restoration with Steve Wells
Identify and remedy common patterns of soft tissue dysfunction
Underactive/overactive kinetic chains
Identify Trigger Point location
Palpation of Trigger Points
Trigger point dysfunction patterns
Self-Myofascial Release (SMR) techniques
Advanced stretching methods
